There are several access routes leading to the Kľačianska Magura cottage:
- from Turčianske Kľačany (green trail) >> Show map
- from Lipovec via Panošína (yellow trail) >> Show map
- from Šútovo via Chata pod Chlebom (red trail to the summit of Suchý, then green trail to the cottage) >> Show map
- from Strečno via Chata pod Suchým (red trail to the summit of Suchý, then green trail to the cottage) >> Show map
The shortest route is from Turčianske Kľačany via the green trail, starting from the parking lot near the football field, and it takes approximately 2 hours. You can reach Turčianske Kľačany from Vrútky, the main bus station, by taking bus number 25 in the direction of Turčianske Kľačany and getting off at the final stop.
Another interesting hiking trail leads from the village of Lipovec through the Panošiná memorial and the Panošiná peak, following the yellow tourist trail.
Also interesting is the "Hike through Two Cottages" from Turčianske Kľačany to Strečno / Nezbudská Lúčka, or in the opposite direction, where you pass through both the Kľačianska Magura Cottage and the Chata pod Suchým.
In the summer season, the access road from the village of Turčianske Kľačany to the cottage can also be used for mountain biking.
In the winter season, it is suitable for ski mountaineers.
