The Kľačianska Magura cottage is located in the Krivánska part of Malá Fatra at an elevation of
1,140 meters above sea level, beneath the peak of Kľačianska Magura, and is one of the most accessible cottages in the Turiec region. It is a popular destination for tourists due to its stunning views of the entire Turiec area and the panorama of surrounding mountains, including Veľká Fatra, Malá Fatra – Lúčanská part, and the Kremnické Hills.

The cottage's location is ideal for overnight stays for hikers and also serves as an excellent starting point for hiking along the main ridge of Krivánska Malá Fatra. Heading through Suchý, Stratenec, Biele skaly, Malý Kriváň, and Veľký Kriváň, you can also reach the Chata pod Chlebom, or you can turn the route around and finish it at Magura.
